Oriana:
Oriana is elegance personified. As one of Britain's most popular liners she's the modern face of traditional cruising, combining technology with classic, sweeping lines and spacious wooden decks. From the Atrium, with it's Tiffany-style glass ceiling to the plush Theatre Royal, to Club Anderson's, Oriana offers somewhere for every conceivable mood.
Her range of cabins are equally accommodating with everything from ecnomical family cabins to lavish suites that come complete with balcony and butler service! Her elegant interiors have a wonderfully calming and gracious feel about them, making every moment you spend on board a perfect reason to celebrate the good life.
Accommodation
Staying on board is designed to be as pleasant and luxurious as you would expect a holiday to be! P&O go to all sorts of trouble to make sure your stay is a wonderful and relaxing one. For example, you will be assigned a Cabin Steward whose job it is to make sure you are completely pampered. From waking you up (at your designated time of course!) and bringing you tea and biscuits to turning down your bed at night, his job is to ensure you are well looked after.
As for our cabins, they were designed to appeal to the widest spectrum of people and so vary in size and specification according to individual passengers requirements and budgets. Choose from a wide selection of cabins, from 3 or 4 berth family cabins and single rooms with king-size beds, to staterooms and deluxe suites with their own balconies. All have refrigerator, colour TV, direct-dial telephone, shower and hairdryer, and individually controlled air-conditioning.
Dining
From the crack of dawn, right around the clock, you'll be presented with delicious dilemas. Take breakfast for instance. You can enjoy freshly baked croissants and coffee in bed, sample breakfast buffet style on an open deck or a traditional breakfast stylishly served in the restaurant.
At lunchtime there is the option of a five-course repast in the restaurant or there are lighter alternatives such as freshly baked pizzas in the pizzeria, outdoor barbeques or the sumptuous buffet selection out on deck.
Naturally, being a British ship, afternoon tea is a time-honoured tradition where you can enjoy all the trimmings of tea, coffee, scones, sandwiches and irresistible cakes!
But the undoubted highlight of the day is dinner; not so much a meal but an event. Five or six superlative courses to be enjoyed in an atmosphere of style and sophistication. The choice is extensive stretching from exotic starters, succulent fish dishes and vegetarian options to a cheese board unlike any other. On certain evenings, themed dinners present an array of cultural delights from around the world.
Entertainment
Your nights, just like your days, aboard Adonia, can be as lively or relaxing as you choose. Once you've dined on the superlative cuisine and enjoyed the company of your fellow passengers, you may want nothing more than a moonlit stroll and an early night. If, on the other hand, your night is just beginning, we can offer you a dazzling array of entertainment and diversions.
After brandy and liqueurs in one of our bars or lounges, why not check out the main evening show? Wander around and you could find a late night cabaret, a talented vocalist, or join our hotly contested trivia quiz. On certain evenings, the usual atmosphere becomes even more electric. Starting with the Captain's Gala Cocktail Party, you'll enjoy a variety of special evenings. It may be a spontaneous barbeque on deck, the glamour of Casino Night, the Black and White Ball or Carnival Rio Night!
Feeling lucky? Then head for the casino. Feel like a laugh? Then see a comedian. Feeling energetic? Then come dancing with P&O Cruises. You'll find just about every style of dance on offer on our dance floors from disco to ballroom.
Two things that night owls will find most reassuring is the fact that our bars remain open and buzzing into the small hours and, if they have children, that there's a full range of night-time entertainment to keep them busy too.
