In multi-cultural Singapore, it is not surprising that the visionary founders of Raffles Hotel were a quartet of enterprising Armenian brothers; Martin, Tigran, Aviet and Arshak Sarkies.

Opened in 1887 in a sprawling colonial bungalow known as Beach House, the Hotel was named after Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of modern Singapore.
Over the years, the hotel has evolved into one of the world's most beloved Grand Hotels and welcomed innumerable celebrities, writers, and royalty.
Declared a National Monument in 1987, the Hotel has grown from strength to strength. With its restoration and re-opening in 1991, Raffles Hotel today stands as a jewel in the crown of Singapore's hospitality industry, renowned and loved for it's inimitable style and unsurpassed excellence in service and facilities.

Raffles Hotel features 103 elegantly appointed suites, 18 distinctive restaurants and bars, the world-class Amrita Spa, Raffles Hotel Arcade housing the best in regional specialities and international brand names, including THOS SB Raffles – an incubator shop offering lifestyle concepts and products as well as a purveyor of fine food and wines, the Raffles Hotel Museum, the Jubilee Hall theatre playhouse, the Raffles Culinary Academy and extensive lush gardens and courtyards.

The Business Centre provides 24-hour support for the corporate residents and is equipped with state-of-the-art personal computers, notebooks, scanners, laser as well as colour printers. Complementing these equipment are a variety of software programmes and computer peripherals.

Providing services to support the business residents is a team of Business Concierges who will look after guests' needs throughout their stay. The Business Concierges are on call 24 hours and will assist residents in all matters of business and leisure.

Located on the third floor deck, the Hotel's pool, jacuzzis, bar and health club are for the exclusive use of Hotel residents.

Health Club facilities and equipment include treadmills, stationery bicycles, a universal weight machine, massage rooms, sauna and gentlemen's and ladies changing rooms. Shiatsu and Swedish style massages, foot reflexology and aromatherapy services are available at Amrita Spa.
