Khajuraho is a village in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, located in Chhatarpur District, about 385 miles (620 kilometres) southeast of Delhi.

A visit to Varanasi reveals the spiritual heart of India, and the best way to experience this is to tour the Ganges by boat at sunrise. Pilgrims, yogis and mystics flock to the ghats (steps) which lie along the banks of the Ganges, to take a cleansing dip in India's holiest river, practice yoga, meditate, or to complete mundane earthly chores such as washing clothes and vessels. Day 1: Delhi - Khajuraho
Fly from Delhi to Khajuraho and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, take a sightseeing tour to the fascinating Western Group of temples. Khajuraho has some of the finest temple artwork in the world, which dates from as far back as AD950.
Day 2: Khajuraho - Varanasi
This morning, visit the Eastern group of temples before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. En route to your hotel, visit Sarnath, a sacred Buddhist site where Buddha came to preach the middle way to Nirvana. (B)
Day 3: Varanasi - Delhi
