Located on the South East coast of Bali, most of Sanur's hotels and resorts are on the beachfront and set amongst lush tropical gardens. Sanur is an ideal spot for families and children as the beach is sheltered from the surf by a coral reef creating a lazy lagoon.

Essentially a sleepy fishing village, you can stroll along the beachfront boulevard from one end to the other, walking by street vendors selling handicrafts, casual clothing and souvenirs or stopping for a drink or meal at one of the many cafes/restaurants. Here the traffic is much quieter and you can do things at a slower pace.

Sanur is just thirty minutes drive from Kuta. It is popular with watersport enthusiasts and families.

Fishermen still wander the beach and the colourful outrigger canoes can be hired for sailing trips along the coast and to outlying islands.  The hotels range from boutique to five-star, the shopping is exceptional and restaurants are first-rate.
