DIAMOND PRINCESS made her stunning debut in March 2004. This ship, which expands upon the design of Princess' extraordinarily popular Grand Princess-class vessels, offers new dining options, more spacious facilities and a wide range of amenities.

One of the primary features that sets Diamond Princess apart is its innovative themed main dining rooms. Passengers will find a total of five main dining rooms on board -- one traditional fixed-seating dining room and the four smaller themed restaurants for those choosing Princess' Anytime Dining option, Vivaldi (Italian cuisine), Sterling (steakhouse), Santa Fe (Southwestern) and Pacific Moon (Asian). Diners in these four dining rooms will have the option of ordering from each restaurant's themed dishes in addition to the day's regular dinner menu. Guests who choose the traditional dining room will have also have the option of ordering items from the themed restaurants' specialty menus.

Passengers can make reservations for any of the ship's main dining rooms and alternative venue Sabatini's through the new Princess Concierge Service, which also debuts on Diamond Princess. Staffed by dedicated onboard concierge representatives using a new computerized reservation system, this new level of service will enable passengers to easily plan their dining choices through a special telephone number or in person at each dining venue.

In addition, Diamond Princess will feature the wide array of Personal Choice options that passengers have come to expect from Princess, with a few new twists. The distinctive Skywalkers Lounge/nightclub has been move forward and features additional floorspace and an outdoor balcony with commanding views over the aft end of the ship where passengers can enjoy stargazing, or an al fresco break from the action inside. The ship's popular Internet Café has been expanded, making it the largest in the Princess fleet, and the signature Wheelhouse Bar has been enlarged to showcase a fascinating collection of nautical memorabilia.

And the aft lounge has become an exciting new venue, Club Fusion, a multi-function, high-tech space that serves as a dance club, cabaret theater and gaming room. With 42 high-definition video screens mounted on columns around the room, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and table-top slot machines, this space offers passengers a variety of ways to enjoy their leisure time at sea.

A dramatic spiral staircase leads to the intimate Wake View Bar below, the perfect gathering place for pre-dinner cocktails for passengers eating in the International Dining Room. Diamond Princess also offers passengers a wide variety of entertainment venues and 24-hour dining options, including the line's signature Trattoria Sabattini and Horizon Court buffet/bistro. Couples can get married on board in the ship's wedding chapel as part of the only program where the ship's captain conducts ceremonies at sea.

Guests who wish to pamper themselves will love the extensive Lotus Spa with its Asian-based treatments and therapies, plus fully equipped fitness centre.
