Itinerary

Day 1- London - Amsterdam (2 nights)
Greetings from our Tour Director as we drive to Dover to board our ferry to Calais. Then we drive through Belgium to lively Amsterdam. (Dinner)

Hotel: Ibis Schiphol (2 nights)

Day 2- Amsterdam orientation & at leisure
Orientation includes the Royal Palace and Dam Square, plus a visit to a diamond –polishing centre. Then to Volendam to learn about the skills of making cheese and clogs! (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 3- Amsterdam - Rhine Cruise - Rhineland
First to German Cologne, then to Boppard where we take a Rhine cruise to St. Goar, then to our hotel. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Hotel: Ramada Micador

Day 4- Rhineland - Strasbourg - Lake Lucerne (2 nights)
First we see Heidelberg Castle, then drive via Strasbourg to lovely lakeside Lucerne. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 5- Lucerne orientation & at leisure
Orientation shows us the poignant Lion Monument and the wooden Chapel Bridge. Then time to shop for all things Swiss! (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 6- Lake Lucerne - Liechtenstein - Innsbruck (Igls)
We drive west to the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein, then on to Innsbruck where we see the Wilten Basilica and the Hofburg. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7- Innsbruck - Salzburg - Vienna (2 nights)
Today to Mozart's Salzburg with so many 'Sound of Music' memories. Then on to the Imperial city of Vienna. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 8- Vienna sightseeing & at leisure
Today's morning sightseeing tour highlights the Hofburg, Imperial Boulevards and City Hall. Then at leisure, perhaps take a trip to visit the vast Schönbrunn Palace? (Buffet Breakfast)


Day 9-Vienna - Venice (Monastier) (2 nights)
South today as we drive via Klagenfurt to the Austrian 'riviera'. Here we cross the Italian border and travel over the Alps to the Veneto plain, and the magical city of Venice.( Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Hotel: Park Hotel Villa Fiorita (2 nights)



Day 10- Venice orientation & at leisure
Today we enjoy a canal cruise to St. Mark's Square and witness the art of Murano glass-blowing. Then time at leisure. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)



Day 11- Venice (Monastier) - Rome (2 nights)
We climb over the Apennines to Tuscany and on to Rome. (Buffet Breakfast)

Hotel: La Pergola (2 nights)


Day 12- Rome sightseeing & at leisure
Our morning sightseeing tour features St. Peter's Basilica as well as views of the Forum and Colosseum. Then time at leisure to perhaps head to the Sistine Chapel. (Buffet Breakfast)



Day 13- Rome - Florence - Montecatini
Today to Florence with time to explore or shop for high quality leather or gold, before continuing to the spa town of Montecatini. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Hotel: Terme Pellegrini



Day 14- Montecatini - Pisa - Nice (2 nights)
First the Leaning Tower of Pisa, then via the coast to the French Riviera and a visit to Monaco en route to bustling Nice. (Buffet Breakfast).

Day 15- Nice orientation & at leisure.
Today's orientation shows us the Place Massena and the Promenade des Anglais. Then time at leisure to relax or perhaps take a swim in the Mediterranean Sea! (Buffet Breakfast)



Day 16- Nice - Barcelona (2 nights)
We follow the coast, then through the Camargue, to the Pyrenees to Spain and Barcelona. (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner) 

Hotel: Catalonia Atenas (2 nights)


Day 17- Barcelona sightseeing & at leisure
Our sightseeing includes Christopher Columbus' statue and the Paseo de Gracia. Later, time at leisure to explore. (Buffet Breakfast)



Day 18- Barcelona - Madrid (2 nights)
We drive past Montserrat, through the vineyards of Catalonia and the arid hills of Aragon until we reach the Spanish meseta, and then on to the capital city, Madrid. ( Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Hotel: Novotel Puente de la Paz (2 nights)

Day 19- Madrid sightseeing & at leisure
Our sightseeing shows us the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza de Espana. Later, why not take a trip to El Escorial? (Buffet Breakfast)



Day 20- Madrid - Lourdes
North to Lourdes, home of St. Bernadette, where we see the Basilica above the grotto. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 21- Lourdes - Bordeaux
After time at leisure we drive to Bordeaux via the charming Atlantic resort of Biarritz. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Hotel: Ibis Meriadeck



Day 22- Bordeaux - Paris (2 nights)
We travel to the Loire Valley with views of the chateaux at Amboise and Blois, before reaching the glittering capital city, Paris. (Buffet Breakfast)

Hotel: Novotel Charenton (2 nights)



Day 23- Paris sightseeing & at leisure
Our guided sightseeing tour shows us the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cite. Later, time at leisure to shop, explore or maybe take an excursion to see the extravagant Palace of Versailles. Tonight, why not celebrate the end of your European tour with your new found friends at a cabaret show? (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 24- Paris - London
Our route to the Channel port takes us past the Battlefields of two World Wars. Then on to Calais for a short Channel crossing to the White Cliffs of Dover. Then we rejoin the coach to drive up to London where our tour comes to an end. (Buffet Breakfast)
