Halong Bay to Angkor Wat

A fully escorted tour from Perth exclusive to Holiday Planet
DEAL ID: VIETES

Discover Southeast Asia’s most evocative destinations during this Vietnam and Cambodia holiday.

Fly to Hanoi, Vietnam’s compact capital for the beginning of your 10 day discovery of this fascinating country. Exotic and alluring, Vietnam is a fascinating mix of history, natural beauty and culture. A country of incredible change; while relics of the past still exist in the many fascinating museums, the war trodden Vietnam of years ago is no more, replaced by a booming metropolis of development.

Highlights of your tour include an overnight voyage on a traditional Junk Boat as you cruise the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay. Watching the sun sink behind the swooping jungle-topped limestone arches as the last light fades is an unforgettable experience. You’ll also visit Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, where you’ll enjoy a tour of the famous Cu Chi tunnels, a complex, underground network of tunnels that offer a historic glimpse into the city’s past.

Leaving Vietnam behind the next part of your holiday takes you to Cambodia. Here you’ll enjoy tours of Cambodia’s most spectacular temples including a visit to Angkor Wat. This awe-inspiring temple, the largest in the world, is a magnificent sight to behold. Beautiful both up-close and afar, admire the corncob towers rising majestically and marvel at the stunning intricacy as the stones change colour with the altering light of the day. You’ll also visit the fortified city of Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple, richly decorated with hundreds of stone faces and atmospheric Ta Prohm, a temple enveloped by the jungle.
