With her sleek silhouette and shimmering elegance, the legendary Crystal Symphony finds a natural home in the world’s most glamorous harbors and idyllic ports of call.

Key among Crystal Symphony’s recent $15 million redesign is the newly styled Avenue Saloon, one of the ship’s most popular venues. The piano bar retains its 19th-century gentlemen’s club feel with rich mahogany woods, buttery leathers, and luxe velvets.

New seating areas include embossed-leaf barstools, brass-tack couches, and tufted booths, while romantic lighting, antique-style trunk tables, custom artwork, and audio systems add to the salon’s inviting ambiance.

High above the sea, where warm rays of sunshine meet cool ocean breezes, Wimbledon Court welcomes doubles and singles matches.

Reminiscent of the Gilded Age’s tennis and card clubs, the new Bridge Lounge boasts ambient sconces, floor-to-ceiling drapes, Roman sheers, and a 12K gold, champagne leaf dome ceiling, as well as game tables and state-of-the-art audio/visual tools.

Design a slide show of your trek through Machu Picchu. Create a website about your worldly adventures. Send emails back home, or simply learn the basic technology. It’s all possible at Computer University@Sea.

Crystal lighting fixtures, black Nero Marquina marble flooring, and custom starburst-designed carpet frame a newly expanded stage in the Galaxy Lounge. Entertainment is elevated with hi-def Barco projectors and Meyer audio-speaker system.

In the cool light of early evening, dine alfresco with newfound friends at Trident Grill enjoying delicacies such as Tandoori beef, grilled prawns on lemongrass, or a classic Caesar with chicken.

Sparkling as the crown jewel atop the ship, Palm Court dazzles with Calcutta marble, Murano glass, and a slick, stainless and hand-tiled mosaic bar. A breezy palate of aqua and ivory creates an elegant ambiance for afternoon tea and evening dancing.

  3. 07 February 2018

In port in Bunbury from 8am to 5pm offering touring to the Margaret River region. Shaped ages ago by lava flows, the basalt-rock land of Bunbury now encompasses one of Western Australia’s liveliest and fastest growing commercial hubs. Perhaps it’s the peninsula’s natural setting surrounded by the Indian Ocean, Koombana Bay and Leschenault Inlet, or maybe it’s the city’s proximity to Perth and even closer proximity to Australia’s abundant wildlife. Whatever the reason, Bunbury’s popularity is rising, bringing a surge of energy and a renewed appreciation for its history. Victoria Street forms the heart of the CBD (Central Business District), attractive and enriching with its parks, galleries, museums and 19th-century buildings. Cappuccino Strip, as the name suggests, is where you will find a cluster of hip coffeehouses and eateries, many with outdoor seating. As you would expect from a town nicknamed “City of Three Waters,” aquatic activities abound, including fishing, snorkeling and diving, not to mention a chance to interact with dolphins at the Dolphin Discovery Centre.

    Overnight: Crystal Symphony

    Meals: All-Inclusive

  4. 08 February 2018

In port in Albany from 11am until 6pm – The oldest permanently settled town in Western Australia, Albany was established a few years before Perth in 1826. The reasons for Albany’s founding and subsequent growth give the city an interesting history and enduring appeal. Initially, the town existed as a military outpost to prevent the French from taking hold and expanding in the region. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Albany was a gateway to the Eastern Goldfields. Albany’s colorful story is on display in the fifty or so colonial buildings that today serve as museums, galleries and restaurants. Whale World invites visitors to explore the only museum of its kind housed in a formerly fully operational whaling station. And let’s not forget what Australia is perhaps best known for: scenery. This too can be appreciated with a walk in Torndirrup National Park or along the Middleton Beach boardwalk trail. Keep an eye out for whales, now captured by cameras rather than by harpoons.

    Overnight: Crystal Symphony

    Meals: All-Inclusive

  5. 09 February 2018

In port in Esperance from 8am until 3pm – Every day is a “g’day” in Esperance, Australia, a terrifically beautiful place with abundant sunshine, brilliant white beaches, turquoise waters and, as you might imagine, outdoor activities galore. Whatever your interest, whether it be diving, snorkeling, trekking, fishing or simply lazing about on the sand, this spot on the Bay of Isles is your paradise. Parks and reserves are plentiful, as is the wildlife they protect. Even away from officially designated conservation areas, animals can be seen and even touched: the western grey kangaroo is often spotted on the beach at Lucky Bay and often are amenable to being approached by humans. Consider your time here and choose from truly unique sights, ranging from the honestly pink waters of Pink Lake to the granite outcroppings of Cape Le Grand National Park to the 105 islands of the Recherche Archipelago, home to fur seals, sea birds and penguins.

The prosperous lifestyle of its people is both cosmopolitan and sophisticated. Quaint trams rumble through the downtown area past verdant gardens and impressive high-rises, in a city that has never lost its endearing charm. The heritage of more than 100 different cultures has contributed to Melbourne’s richly international character. This diverse ethnic mix is exemplified by its range of 15,000 dining venues which offer more than 50 different kinds of cuisine. In port in Burnie from 8am until 3pm – If Tasmania evokes images of a wild and untouched locale full of exotic animal and plant life, you are not far off. Tasmania indeed hosts a largely unspoiled natural environment, with almost 45% of its land protected in reserves, national parks and World Heritage Sites. As interesting as its animal inhabitants (platypus and fairy penguins, for instance) is Tasmania’s human-occupied city of Burnie, a town with an industrial past. Burnie is known as a city of makers, home to farmers, mill workers and craftsmen who built a prosperous coastal town and a reputation for quality. Enjoy a taste of the locals’ endeavors with a sampling of fine cheeses and single-malt whiskey. Also take time to experience Creative Paper, Australia’s largest hand-made paper mill, where you can enjoy guided tours, see art exhibitions, shop the retail showroom and watch artisans at work.

In port in Hobart from 9am until 5pm – Hobart, premier city of the island-state of Tasmania, is situated between Mount Wellington and the Derwent River. As Australia’s second-oldest capital, it savors the present while revering its past. History adds picturesque charm to this charismatic city, for there are no less than 90 buildings with National Trust classification. At Salamanca Place and Battery Point, relics of the whaling days of the last century can still be seen. Tasmania maintains abiding links with a wealth of Australian heritage. The convict settlement of Port Arthur provides vivid reminders of bygone days. With a busy port and thriving commercial center, Hobart is justifiably recognized as one of the world’s most beautiful harbor cities.
