Embark your cruise in Fremantle and sail north, calling at a variety of ports in Australia and the South Pacific before disembarking in Sydney and beginning your 4,352km train journey across the continent.
Your 17 night cruise begins in the port of Fremantle, where you’ll board Sun Princess and settle into your comfortable cabin. Your first port of call is the city of Geraldton, famous for its nearby beaches, before sailing to the ‘pearling capital of the world’, Broome. After viewing the scenic Kimberley Coast from the ship you’ll call at tropical Darwin and laid-back Cairns, heading to the port of Alotau in Papua New Guinea before sailing down to Brisbane and Sydney.
Disembarking the ship, you’ll spend a night in a hotel where you can make the most of your time in Australia’s oldest and largest city. The second half of your journey begins as you board the Indian Pacific train for your three night journey to Perth; named for the two oceans it encounters on its journey, the train offers a return to the golden age of travel and is instantly recognisable thanks to its smart navy and gold livery. Your route will take you through the spectacular Blue Mountains, the classic mining town of Broken Hill, the Flinders Ranges National Park, the city of Adelaide or the Barossa Valley and beautiful Nullabor. You’ll disembark in Perth having completing an almost round trip of Australia.
