Enjoy an immersive Africa experience as you take in the astounding beauty of Victoria Falls, the wilderness of Kruger and cosmopolitan Cape Town.

Inspired by the myth of a lost African kingdom, your first Africa experience takes place at The Palace of the Lost City, a sumptuous hotel set within Sun City, South Africa’s top holiday resort. Surrounded by jungles, streams and waterfalls, the fantasy of an African palace is apparent throughout, from the luxuriously rooms to the mosaics and fountains found within the hotel and its beautiful gardens.

Following three nights here you’ll travel to Victoria Falls, where a series of tours will showcase the highlights of this incredible region. You’ll board the Bushtracks Express first for an adventure through the countryside. Swish through the shimmering African bushveld as the untamed wilderness and local villages stream leisurely past your window. From rails to river, you’ll embark the Zambezi Explorer for a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. Hear the great roar of wallowing hippos – you might even be lucky enough to spot the resident elephants as they cross the river. Your final tour sees you explore the Zimbabwean side of the rainbow-framed Victoria Falls on foot with a guide.

More adventures await as you head into the heart of the African bush for a safari experience to remember. Encased in the luxury of the Lukimibi Safari Lodge you’ll enjoy daily game drives which let you get up close to the wild beasts that reside in the surrounding National Park. From here you’ll travel to Pretoria for an overnight stay before you board the luxury Blue Train for your journey to Cape Town, trundling by spectacular scenery and enjoying a real glimpse of Africa.

Cape Town

Set below the dramatic Hottentots Holland mountain range, your journey will take you past whitewashed colonial homesteads, through avenues of majestic oak trees and rolling hills carpeted in wild flowers, delivering you to Franschhoek where you will stop for a wine tasting at a local vineyard. The town was founded in 1688 by French immigrants and even has a memorial to commemorate the arrival of these early settlers who helped develop the famous wines. You’ll then travel to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. Take in the Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian architecture as you tour the town, followed by a guided tour of a vineyard and wine tasting before you travel back to Cape Town. You’ll then enjoy a further day of leisure before your flight home the next day.
